U.S. v. The William decision establishes the right of the federal government to seize Boston ships.

U.S. District Court in Boston finds that the government was within its rights to seize the ship for violating the Embargo Act. Judge John Davis and a jury reach their verdict when they find that the Embargo Act did not contradict any provisions of U.S. Constitution.
